Sweet Boy

I know I am going to regret this when he is one and I can't get him to stop but he just looks so precious. I had to share with you these sweet pictures. I find him doing this every morning when I wake up.

I could not ask for a better baby except for Natalie she was wonderful too. Rylan started sleeping though the night at 6 weeks old. He is always so happy. He only cries when he is hungry. When he coos, smiles, and laughs out loud it makes my day. Here are just a few random likes and dislikes. He loves to sit up like a big boy and watch the t.v. He hates being on his tummy. He love to watch the ceiling fan. He is amazed by lights. He loves his big sister but not when she gets in his face or tries to pick him up which is very frequently. She thinks she is a big girl and has tried to bring him to me on several occasions. I just try and remain calm and ask her to stand very still until mommy can come and get brother. I learned the hard way not to come in the room screaming at her to put her brother down. The one and only time I did that she just looked up at me and dropped him. Don't worry he didn't cry long. Anyways, we take Rylan for his 4 month check-up on the 20th. I can't wait to see how much he has grown. He seems so much bigger than Natalie was at that age. For all of you Tide fans out there.....ROLL TIDE! I almost forgot Rylan is cutting a tooth on the bottom is this normal this young? Natalie didn't get any teeth until she was 7 months old.

Election Thoughts

Well...I went to bed last night with a sick feeling, woke up with a sick feeling but as this day has gone on I feel much more at peace. After reading this verse on a friend's blog I realized that the Lord has a lot to say about authority and government, and bottom line...we as Christians are to respect the authority He has put into place. No, I am not happy about the results of the election, but it's not about me. It's about the Lord and his plan for His world.
"Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgement on themselves." Romans 13:1-2
I will respect Barack Obama as my president because this is what I've been called to do.

More weekend fun

Here are a few more pictures from our fun weekend. Natalie got her hair cut on Saturday. She was such a big girl. She wants me to dry her hair after bath time so that her hair will look pretty like mommy's. Sunday Rylan and I went to Karen's baby shower. It was around Natalie's nap time so she stayed at home with Daddy. Karen got a lot of great gifts. I can't wait to meet sweet baby J.

Halloween Fun

We had a great weekend. Natalie had so much fun trick or treating. We went to the Trunk or Treat at the First Baptist Church and then to the Vandiver Park. When we got back from all of that fun we still had to make a few more stops around our neighborhood so that Natalie could show off her costume. The next day we just stayed around the house and ate lots of candy. Needless to say we had to hide the candy from Natalie. She was wanting to eat it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Saturday night we went across the street to the Revival Center where they were have a Fall Festival. They had so much fun stuff for Natalie to do she didn't know where to start. Here are a few pictures from our weekend.
